LexiBeam AI Translator Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 19, 2026
LexiBeam AI Translator is a browser extension that translates selected text, translates web pages in bilingual mode, and analyzes page content through a user-configured AWS Bedrock account.
Information the extension handles
- AWS Bedrock credentials: the Bearer Token you enter in the extension settings.
- Extension settings: AWS Region, selected model, target language, and cached model metadata.
- Page content: selected text or visible page text that you explicitly ask the extension to translate or analyze.
How information is used
The extension uses your AWS Bedrock credential and settings only to send translation or analysis requests to AWS Bedrock. Page content is processed only when you trigger a translation or analysis action, such as using the popup, selection button, or context menu.
Where information is stored
Your Bearer Token and settings are stored locally in Chrome using
chrome.storage.local. LexiBeam AI Translator does not operate a separate
backend service and does not store your token or page content on a developer-controlled server.
Third-party services
When you request translation or analysis, relevant text is sent directly from the extension to AWS Bedrock endpoints in the AWS Region you configure. AWS may process that data according to your AWS account configuration and AWS terms.
Data sharing and selling
LexiBeam AI Translator does not sell user data. It does not share user data with advertising networks, analytics providers, or data brokers.
Tracking and analytics
The extension does not include advertising, behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics.
Permissions
- contextMenus: provides right-click translation and page actions.
- storage: saves your local settings and token in Chrome.
- activeTab: accesses the current tab after you invoke the extension.
- scripting: injects translation UI and page translation behavior into the current page.
- host permissions for AWS Bedrock: allows requests to AWS Bedrock APIs.
Data deletion
You can delete stored extension data by clearing the token and settings in the extension, removing the extension from Chrome, or clearing site and extension storage in Chrome settings.
